High school fall rowing program serving Milton and Greater Boston athletes (Grades 9–12).

Structured technical coaching, athletic conditioning, and weekend racing. No prior rowing experience required.

At Neponset Rowing Club, we offer high schoolers something rare in youth athletics: a sport where every athlete has the opportunity to compete, push their limits, and experience the thrill of moving a boat on race day. Operating out of Milton Landing, our Fall Juniors (High School) program welcomes rowers of all experience levels (Grades 9–12). Guided by expert coaching in a structured, safety-first environment, athletes learn the rowing stroke from scratch, build serious physical endurance, and discover what they are truly capable of achieving.

What Makes Rowing Different?
  • Every Seat Drives the Boat: Rowing isn't like field sports with bench rotations and individual spotlight plays. In a rowing shell, every athlete on the roster is on the water, pulling their weight (even coxswains). Every athlete contributes directly to the boat’s performance.

  • Hard Work with an Unmatched Payoff: Crew takes real work—it demands grit, mental focus, and physical effort. But the feeling of synchronized oars catching the water together as the shell glides effortlessly down the Neponset? There is nothing like it. That shared experience builds trust in the team and self-confidence through hard work that transfers to the rest of your life.

  • Building True Student-Athletes: Balancing daily practices with high school academics instills real discipline, time management, and maturity. College admissions officers value rowers because the sport signals coachability, strong character, and a proven ability to commit to something demanding.
