Over the past thirteen years, The Friends of Milton Crew have shared our passion for rowing with hundreds of student athletes and adults alike through Milton High School Crew and Neponset Rowing club programs. Every year we try our hardest to deliver the best possible rowing experience to as many local rowers as possible.
That’s why, in spring of 2023, our MHS Crew program will transition to become the spring season of our Neponset Rowing Club program. We’ve offered spring varsity at MHS for ten wonderful years.
Not much will change for MHS rowers: same convenient location, great coaching, and plenty of water time. The school will still recognize student’s athletic participation, though students will attend an NRC sports banquet rather than the one put on each year by the MHS Boosters.
What will change is that students from all the area high schools will be able to row together for both seasons. Any coach will tell you that means better opportunities to train and excel as a team. We’ll be able to do an even better job developing rowers and preparing them for life on and off the water.
