MHS spring crew registration - and more ways to get involved!

Registration is open for spring '22 Milton High School crew – click here to register. Spring season requires no previous rowing experience. First-time rowers will learn the rowing stroke, and every rower will develop leadership skills and teamwork by challenging themselves physically and mentally in a strong team environment. Rowers practice five or six times per week and attend weekend regattas. Practice starts Monday, March 28 after school. Please note that at the beginning of the season, we practice at Watuppa Rowing Center in Fall River a few days of the week.

Regattas are on!

We've got a full spring regatta schedule:

· 4/30/2022 | Race Thayer at Neponset

· 5/14/2022 | Amber Zapatka Memorial Regatta (Finals on 5/15/2022)

· 5/21/2022 | Mayor's Cup

· 5/28/2022 | NEIRA (TBD based on qualification)

· 5/29/2022 | MPSRA Championships

Season notes for parents

  • We’ll hold a welcome video call on April 6th and cover all of the essentials for rowers and parents. You'll get an invite after your rower is registered.

  • We understand there have been some issues with uniforms due to pandemic-related snafu’s. We will have uniforms for rowers who don’t already have them for this season. And we’ll be switching over to brand new NRC gear in fall of ’22 – stay tuned as we work out the details.

Get involved in community rowing

We have openings for parents and other community residents to help community rowing succeed, including

  • Joining committees: our fundraising committee raises money for boats, other equipment, and operating costs – and they need your help! The equipment committee can use a couple of logistically-minded folks. And if you're an experienced grant writer, let us know if you can help!

  • Board of Directors: We’re a primarily volunteer-run organization, other than coaches and our program director. Serving on the board is a great way to help us improve what we do now and secure the future of community rowing on the Neponset, too. We can use your energy, expertise and insight.

To get involved just email info@neponsetrowing.org. And thanks! See you on or near the water very soon!
